The transmission in my wife’s 2012 Honda van went completely out. I searched many shops in the area getting price quotes for a replacement/rebuilt transmission. I would like to say that I recommend for anyone needing transmission repair to give ascension transmission a call. I am very satisfied with their work. Very honest, friendly transmission shop to deal with.
After the gears in my car began to slip and act oddly, I decided to bring the car to the nearest shop (Ascension Transmission Repair). The mechanic, Robbie, told me that he would look at the car free of charge and find the problem. After 3 days of hearing nothing, I gave the shop a call and was then told by Robbie that my car would need a complete transmission rebuild. I asked if he was very sure of this, and he said no and that he could look at my car further for $150. After talking him down to $100, Robbie the mechanic said he would get to it in a day or two. Through the course of the next week and a half, I called Ascension Transmission Repair 3 times to ask for updates on the car. Every time, though, I was told that they had not gotten to look at my car yet and that they would be getting to it very soon ("in the next day or so"). After two weeks of this, I finally realized that my car would be in better hands elsewhere. Good luck to those of you going through the same or any similar situation, I hope this helps a little.
